Terms of Use

These terms explain the basic conditions for using Supplement Explained, including the limits of our educational content, tools, product analysis, external links, and affiliate relationships.

Plain-English summary

Use Supplement Explained as a general educational and decision-support resource, not as personal medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a substitute for a clinician or pharmacist. Check current labels and retailer details before acting because products, prices, evidence, warnings, and availability can change.

Educational use only

The site explains supplement ingredients, labels, evidence, safety questions, products, brands, costs, and comparison methods. It does not create a clinician-patient, pharmacist-patient, professional-client, or other fiduciary relationship. Do not use the site to start, stop, replace, or change a prescribed medicine or treatment plan.

Urgent symptoms, suspected overdose, severe allergic reactions, pregnancy-specific concerns, and emergencies require appropriate local medical or emergency services rather than a website.

Accuracy, evidence, and changes

We work to distinguish official guidance, human research, preliminary evidence, product-label facts, manufacturer statements, retailer information, and anecdotal user reports. Even careful content can become outdated or contain errors. The current product package, Supplement Facts panel, warning label, official recall notice, and advice from a qualified professional take priority over an older site summary.

We may correct, expand, reorganize, or remove content without notice. Our Editorial Policy, evidence review method, source methodology, and Corrections Policy explain how we handle those changes.

Product reviews, scores, and tools

Unless a page clearly states otherwise, product analysis is label-based editorial work rather than personal-use testing, independent laboratory testing, medical review, or a verified customer-rating aggregate. The Supplement Explained Score is an editorial comparison framework, not a safety certificate or guarantee of results.

Calculators, checklists, selectors, and other tools provide structured estimates or prompts from the information entered. Their results are not prescriptions, diagnoses, interaction-clearance decisions, or guarantees that a dose or product is appropriate.

External and affiliate links

Some links lead to retailers, manufacturers, studies, public agencies, community discussions, or other independent websites. We do not control their content, security, availability, pricing, shipping, return terms, or privacy practices. Review the destination’s own terms before providing information or purchasing.

Some retailer links may be affiliate links. We may earn a commission at no extra cost to the reader. Affiliate relationships do not turn a label-based review into hands-on evidence and do not change the scoring method. See the Affiliate Disclosure and How We Make Money.

Acceptable use and intellectual property

You may use the site for lawful personal research and may link to public pages. Do not attempt to disrupt the site, bypass security, submit malicious code, impersonate another person, scrape protected or private surfaces, or reuse substantial site content in a misleading way. Site text, original graphics, tools, scoring explanations, and editorial organization remain protected by applicable intellectual-property rules unless a page states a different license.

Liability and contact

The site is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Supplement Explained does not guarantee uninterrupted access, complete accuracy, a particular health or financial outcome, product availability, or the behavior of an external service. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded.

If you have a question about these terms, an error report, or a rights concern, use the contact page.

Update Note

These terms are reviewed when the site’s tools, monetization, editorial methods, or data practices change materially.
